Personalized Mugs Project

My son had the weirdest school homework ever. They were told to create personalized mugs for their home education class. I can’t remember me doing this stuff when I was a kid. It wouldn’t have been a bother for me if only my son did it himself. Problem is, he dragged me into it.

I’m the last person who will have the talent in making personalized promotional mugs. In short, I’m useless when it comes to art.  At first I wanted to hit the teacher so hard for giving an assignment as silly as that one. But eventually my mindset over the whole thing totally changed.

As a good and a responsible father (I hope), I told my son that we will do the project together. Actually I did it to fend off the blame if it turns out that my design is horrible. While he did his mugs, I did my own personalized promotional barwares and carafes. It’s logical come to think of it, since while he loved his warm milk in the morning, I loved my alcohol in the evening. That was such a perfect argument.

The lady of the house joined in the fray. For her part, she made personalized promotional coaster and drink holders to be used in the house. She also did some to be given as gifts to a friend’s upcoming birthday.

All in all, what we did was impeccable. My drinking paraphernalia all looked great, my son was able to get a B plus on the homework, and my wife got some quiet time for herself.

Good Times.

This early, awareness groups are already gearing up for the annual celebration of International Women’s Day. The event would gather together hundreds of concerned agencies advocating equality between men and women. This has been one of the most pressing issues over the years.

Last year, most of the attendees received mugs and cups as a souvenir. I was able to take part in the celebration last year and I was one of the lucky recipients to have received mugs. In my estimates, there were around a thousand participants last year. I believe that it will be more than that this time because of the comprehensive recruitment implemented by the organizers this year.

This year, I expect more souvenirs to be handed out as freebies. A friend of mine, who is one of the organizers, revealed to me that this early office mugs with cover names are already being delivered to their office. They expect to receive more items as the event draws near.

Last year, the participants also received travel mugs with logo. Many of the groups who participated in the event handed out customized travel mugs so we had an overflow of the stocks.

Hmmm! I wonder if more mugs will be handed out this year. I’ve had enough of these items already.
